The 304 Type K 20 AWG Stranded wire is an economical glass braid that can be used in a wide range of applications.  Each stranded conductor is glass braided, color coded and impregnated with a resin that inhibits fraying and reduces friction.  A final layer of fiberglass is applied over the parallel conductors and a coat of resin is applied.  The stranded conductors provide for better flexibility.

This construction allows for a temperature rating of 900°F (482°C) continuously and spikes of 1000°F (538°C).  The impregnation resin will burn off a 400°F (204°C).  Available in ASTM E 230 type K Special limits of error 1.1°C or 0.4% (whichever is greater).
